Believers
Lessons from the History of the Arabs
49:14. The Arabs said, “We are Mu’mens (believers).” Say, “You have not believed; what you should say is, ‘We are Muslims (submitters),’ until belief is established in your hearts.” If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is the Forgiver, Most Merciful.
in verse 49:14 we are commanded not to call ourselves believers until belief is established in our hearts. Does this verse even remotely mention taking a pledge from a messenger makes someone a believer?
Clear and precise explanations for us
49:15. Mu’mens (believers) are those who believe in GOD and His messenger, then attain the status of having no doubt whatsoever, and strive with their money and their lives in the cause of GOD. These are the truthful ones.
now in verse 49:15 GOD gives the specific and the detail requirements. Does taking a pledge make someone attain the status of having no doubt whatsoever? Does a pledge mean someone has strived with their money and lives? Makbool takes multiple meanings out of a verse that talks about a group of people who pledged alliance under a tree during a war and makes them believe that they instantly became "believers".
Please go back and reflect on the above verse, who are the truthful ones? Is it who rejects GOD's revelations (Ayah-thi) and upholds makbool's words?
49:16. Say, “Are you informing GOD about your religion? GOD knows everything in the heavens and the earth. GOD is Omniscient.”
It's noteworthy that one of the prominent leaders of Makbool, he was confused about whether he was a believer or not after Makbool passed away. Since they have deserted the QURAN, they got entangled in their own lies. His logic kind of makes sense, becase he gained the status of a believer by pledging to Makbool and Makbool is no longer there. Same way if you believe in the revelation (Ayah) in 49:15 and strive in the cause of GOD and attain the status of a believer, what would happen if you no longer strived? The answer is in the QURAN.
